Landscape Attributes:

Sentimental Blue Balloon Flower is an herbaceous perennial with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage.

This is a relatively low maintenance perennial, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. It has no significant negative characteristics.

Sentimental Blue Balloon Flower is recommended for the following landscape applications;

  • General Garden Use
  • Mass Planting
  • Border Edging
  • Rock/Alpine Gardens
  • Container Planting

Plant Characteristics:

Sentimental Blue Balloon Flower will grow to be about 8 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 8 inches. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years.

This perennial does best in full sun to partial shade. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.

This is a selected variety of a species not originally from North America.
